Learn about the Michigan Land Transfer Navigators and how they help farmers and farmland owners navigate the complex process of transferring farmland to the next generation.
In this video, we sit down with Michigan Land Transfer Navigators Becky Huttenga and Will Manty to discuss farmland access, succession planning, farmland protection, and the resources available to support both entering and exiting farmers. The Land Transfer Navigator program is led by American Farmland Trust with support from the USDA NRCS, helping connect farmers and landowners with the technical assistance and guidance they need for successful land transitions.
