Who we are 
The Sustainable Built Environment Initiative (SBEI) is a Michigan State University Extension (MSUE) program in partnership with Michigan State's School of Planning, Design, and Construction (SPDC). Helping bring faculty and students together with communities to create a vision for sustainable designs across Michigan's communities. SBEI assists communities in addressing physical planning, design, and land use issues by providing a set of planning designs and recommendations created through three facilitated meetings. This culminates with a final report that can serve as a catalyst for future implementation by your community.
