Miranda is a Michigan State University Extension 4-H program coordinator in Mackinac County. She has worked in this capacity since March 2026. In this role, Miranda provides leadership and management of local 4-H programs, volunteers, and youth participants in Mackinac County. She promotes and strengthens the Mackinac County 4-H program by developing programs and partnerships, promoting and evaluating 4-H programs, and recruiting and training volunteers.  

Miranda is also the liaison from the state Michigan 4-H office helps to ensure that statewide opportunities and information is available to local participants.  

Prior to joining MSU Extension, Miranda started her college career at Grand Rapids Community College where she earned an Associate of Music. She then attended Grand Valley State University where she earned a Bachelor of Music Education. 

After earning her first degree, she worked as a substitute teacher before deciding to return to school. Miranda earned a Bachelors in Horticulture Science Degree from Michigan State University. During that program she interned at The Upper Peninsula Research and Extension Center and would later return there as an employee. At UPREC she assisted educators, ran daily farm tasks, and assisted with events. This is where she connected with 4-H and started to learn about, and assist with the program.  

Her other job experience includes working at various garden centers and landscaping businesses. She also completed two Disney College Programs working in EPCOT and The Magic Kingdom.
