Biography
Before joining MSU in January of 2023, Dr. Lu was a Postdoc research scholar with USDA-ARS and North Carolina State University and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Mississippi State University. His research focuses on the development and deployment of intelligent systems that integrate optical sensing, machine vision, artificial intelligence, and robotics automation/robotics for smart agriculture and food systems. He is the recipient of the ASABE New Holland Young Researcher Award, one of the Society's highest honors for early-career researchers.
