Yasaman Lashgari is a Ph.D. student in Urban and Regional Planning at the School of Planning, Design and Construction at Michigan State University. Her research interests focus on housing, community development, data-driven urban planning analysis, and the intersection of artificial intelligence, housing, and spatial analysis. 

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and master’s degrees in Urban Design as well as Regional and City Planning. Her previous research includes a study on the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on retail in city centers, as well as research related to community development and urban economic development initiatives, including innovation districts. She also has professional experience in municipal GIS, which strengthened her interest and skills in applying spatial and data-driven methods to real-world planning challenges.
