Renfu Lu, Ph.D
Biography
Dr. Renfu Lu is a supervisory research agricultural engineer and research leader with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS). He has been an adjunct faculty with the BAE Department at MSU since 1999. Currently, he leads a multi-institutional, transdisciplinary project funded by the USDA-NIFA Specialty Crop Research Initiative (SCRI) Program, on developing and transferring an automated and integrated mobile system (AIMS) for commercial apple harvest and in-field sorting. Dr. Lu is a Fellow of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers.
