Dave Radloff
Dave Radloff is a Michigan State University Extension Educator overseeing the Delta County 4-H program. Dave provides leadership and management of local 4-H programs, volunteers, and youth participants in Delta County. He also has statewide programming responsibilities in Career Exploration Workforce Preparation and focuses on youth entrepreneurship and financial literacy. As part of his role, he focuses on curriculum development and direct programming around these topic areas.
He has developed curriculum including 4-H Build your Future, the 4-H Youth Business Guide to Success: Making the Most of Your Market Livestock Project, and Spartan Dollars and Cents: Realistic Budget Simulation.
He has worked for Michigan State University Extension since 1999. Dave’s primary office is in Escanaba. He promotes and strengthens the Delta County 4-H program by developing programs and partnerships, promoting and evaluating 4-H programs, and recruiting and training volunteers. Dave is also the liaison from the state Michigan 4-H office helps to ensure that statewide opportunities and information is available to local participants. Prior to his appointment in Delta County, Dave was the 4-H Agent in Alger County.
Dave has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northern Michigan University and a Master’s degree from Michigan State University in Youth Development. He holds certifications in Michigan 4-H Shooting Sports as a Level 1 Archery Instructor and Level 1 Rifle Instructor. He is also a certified Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) instructor.
Locally, he also serves as MSU Extension representative on the Upper Peninsula State Fair Department Advisory Committee, Department Superintendent for youth exhibits, food, school exhibits, and needlework. He coordinates the Market Livestock Record Book Program at the Upper Peninsula State Fair. In addition, he is the adult advisor for the Community Foundation for Delta County Youth Advisory Committee.
He also serves as the treasurer of the Michigan Association of Extension 4-H Youth Staff.
