Amanda Syers
I serve as the Community Relations Administrator for the MSU Water Alliance, where I build and maintain relationships with community, government, nonprofit, and industry partners. I connect stakeholders with MSU water researchers and resources and identify opportunities for collaboration, partnerships, and external support that advance the Alliance’s mission.
Background:
I began my career as a classroom teacher and then transitioned into science outreach roles. Most recently, I served as the Science Education Specialist at the Annis Water Resources Institute at Grand Valley State University, where I developed and implemented educational programs and curricula focused on the Great Lakes and environmental science. In this role, I also served as the state coordinator for Michigan Project WET (Water Education Today) and as the Midwest Partner Representative for the U.S. GLOBE Partner Forum.
