Abigail Rogers, Ph.D.
Abigail (Abbie) Rogers has a PhD in Botany and Plant Pathology from Purdue University. During her graduate degree, she worked to characterize virulence proteins from the fungal pathogen Phyllachora maydis and the bacterial pathogen Ralstonia solanacearum. Currently, she is working in the Chilvers lab as a Postdoctoral researcher. Here, she is using molecular approaches to investigate the interaction between root-invading fungi, such as Calonectria ilicicola, and soybean to identify targets for host-induced gene silencing.
