About Laurel Links Country Club 

Laurel Links Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Golf Course Grounds Intern to join our turf management team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students and aspiring turf professionals to gain hands-on experience maintaining a premier golf course while learning industry best practices in agronomy, irrigation, equipment operation, and golf course presentation. 

This position is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in Turfgrass Management or related fields. 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist with daily golf course maintenance. 
  • Mow and maintain greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and practice facilities. 
  • Course Set-up to ensure a quality golfer experience. 
  • Assist with irrigation system monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairs. 
  • Perform fertilizer, seed, and plant protectant applications under supervision. 
  • Operate golf course maintenance equipment safely and efficiently. 
  • Monitor turf conditions and identify weeds, pests, diseases, and environmental stress. 
  • Participate course improvement projects. 
  • Assist in preparing the course for tournaments and special events. 

Qualifications 

  • Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, Agriculture, or related program preferred. 
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude. 
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. 
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 pounds. 
  • Valid driver's license preferred. 
  • Previous golf course, landscaping, farming, or grounds maintenance experience. 
  • Interest in learning advanced turfgrass management practices.

Schedule

Compensation & Benefits 

  • $20.00/Hour +Overtime
