The 15th Annual Soybean Harvest Equipment Field Day is a half-day event that allows attendees to learn how to get their combines and monitor equipment ready for harvest season, how to maintain them, and how to minimize header losses through educational sessions and combine harvest demonstrations.

The morning begins with check-in at 9:30 followed by a welcome at 10:00. Attendees will then self-select a combine clinic, based on manufacturer, where they will hear about important steps to preparing and maintaining combines during harvest season and be able to ask questions of the equipment reps. Lunch will be provided free of charge due to the generous support of event sponsors.

After lunch we will drive down the road to a field site where combines from different manufacturers and with different header technologies will demonstrate harvest operations. We will conduct header loss estimates and discuss combine settings and operations to minimize loss. Attendees will have opportunities to talk with equipment representatives. The day will conclude by 3:00 with meeting evaluation and credit opportunities.

Cost of the program is FREE due to sponsorships, but registration is required to get accurate counts for lunch and educational materials. If you have any questions about the event, please contact Eric Anderson (eander32@msu.edu or 269-359-0565) or Madelyn Celovsky (celovsk2@msu.edu or 248-385-7886).
