The 4-H Beginner Horse Workshop Series is designed for youth who want to learn about horses in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Whether you have never been around horses before or are just getting started, this series will introduce participants to the fundamentals of horse care and handling.
Youth will gain hands-on experience learning essential horse skills, including grooming, halter and lead line techniques, basic western riding concepts, and horse nutrition. Sessions will focus on building confidence, developing horse knowledge, and promoting safe interactions with horses.
The series is open to all youth ages 5-19 (as of January 1, 2027). No prior horse or riding experience is required.
Workshop Dates: Sundays, October 4, 11, 18, and 25, 2026
Time: 2:00-4:00 p.m.
